New Pedestrian Bridges Installed At Corners 2 And 7

Corner_2_Bridge_-_4The improvements keep coming at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in anticipation for the exciting 2012 season.

Two new pedestrian bridges have been installed which will allow spectators to cross over from the infield and outfield areas at Corner 2 and Corner 7 (on the Mario Andretti Straight).

Since Canadian Motorsport Ventures (CMV) took over ownership of Canadian Tire Motorsport Park back in June of 2011, their immediate goal was to improve the experience for spectators, participants, race teams and corporate partners, which the bridges along with many other upgrades surely have accomplished.

Corner_7_Bridge_-_6The bridge at Corner 2 is 100 feet in length and the second bridge located at Corner 7 is an impressive 180 feet.

The first major spectator event in 2012 is the Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend presented by Castrol Edge, May 18-20 and will feature the Vortex Brake Pads 200 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season opening race.
